The university reports that for the last 16 years, Gay, 52, has taught government and African and African American Studies. in economics from Stanford University with honors and distinctions before earning her PhD at Harvard in 1998. Her appointment further upholds the university's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB).
